New York Mobile Proxies on Dedicated Hardware in the NYC Metro

Most proxy products sell you access to a pool. ProxyMobile sells you a device. A New York line from us is one physical unit, a USB modem, a 4G/5G router or a real Android phone, holding one carrier SIM in the New York City metro, and while you rent it nobody else touches it. That distinction matters in New York more than most places, because the state's businesses, from Wall Street firms to Buffalo contractors, are run through platforms that look hard at whether an address behaves like a single phone. This page walks through the three device types, where they sit, how their addresses read across the state, and which one to pick for the work you do.

Three device types, one rule: the hardware is yours alone

A USB modem is the workhorse: a carrier SIM in a compact modem, plugged into our rack, exposing HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 ports and a rotation link. A 4G/5G router does the same job with a more robust radio and power path, which is why we recommend it for sessions that must stay logged in for weeks. A real Android phone is exactly that, a handset with the SIM inside, for platforms that want to see a phone behind the address. Whichever you choose, the SIM is on a consumer plan with AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon, the device is dedicated to you, and the line carries 20-45 Mbps on 4G or 50+ Mbps on 5G.

Why hardware in New York City covers work across the state

Our New York rack is in the New York City metro, and that is the only place in the state we have equipment. We are not in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or Albany, and we will not pretend to be. The reason a New York City device still serves an Ithaca or Westchester client is carrier addressing. Carriers put many real phones behind one public address through carrier-grade NAT, and the geolocation services consult map that address to a metro or a state. A device in Queens reads as New York to a platform, and that is the level of precision almost every New York job needs.

There are limits, and we would rather you know them. If a service does resolve more precisely, it will place the line somewhere in the New York City area, never in Rochester. A local SEO check for a Syracuse dentist therefore shows the New York State view rather than a Syracuse street view. For checks that depend on a specific neighbourhood, compare results with a local contact. Nothing about the device changes your permissions on any platform; the hardware changes the network path and nothing more.

Matching the device to the New York job

Choose the modem for daily browser work: social accounts for Manhattan restaurants, Brooklyn salons or Long Island contractors, Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace listings, and ad verification for New York campaigns. Choose the router when a login must survive for weeks without interruption, which is common with real estate portals such as StreetEasy and Zillow, ticketing accounts on Ticketmaster and StubHub during a Broadway or Madison Square Garden run, and Google Business profiles you manage for clients. Choose the phone when the platform itself is a phone platform first, which covers TikTok, Snapchat, delivery apps like Seamless and DoorDash, and the ride apps you are comparing for the New York market.

Rotation, sticky sessions and the daily allowance

Every ProxyMobile device supports both behaviours. Leave the line alone and the address is sticky; it holds until you call the rotation link. Call the link and the device re-attaches to the carrier gateway and receives another address from the carrier's New York regional pool. That pool is finite, so you will sometimes see an address again, which is normal on a real network. Rotation is unlimited, and there is no charge per call. Transfer is 15 GB/day per line, which is enough for a full day of account work and listing checks, though not for bulk media downloads; if your job is data-heavy, tell us before you buy and we will say honestly whether the line fits.

Carriers, Eastern time, and getting your ProxyMobile line

AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon all cover the New York City metro well, and we keep SIMs from each in the rack. Match the carrier to your audience or to an account's existing history when you can. New York keeps Eastern time, so post and rotate on that clock, and let a freshly moved account settle before heavy activity. Platform rules apply on every device; dedicated hardware improves consistency, it does not grant permission. Plans start from $2 for two hours or $5/day. Pick your device type and plan on the ProxyMobile homepage, then choose New York and a carrier on the USA locations page.

New York proxy questions

Where is my device physically located?

In our rack in the New York City metro. Your modem, router or phone stays in that location for as long as you rent it, with its own SIM and its own power and network path. We have no hardware elsewhere in New York State; the same carrier address pools cover the rest of the state.

Does the address show as New York State?

Yes. The carrier assigns addresses from its New York regional pool, and geolocation databases place those addresses in the New York City metro or simply in New York. Precision varies by database, so a service may say New York, Brooklyn or Queens; none of those conflicts with a New York business.

Can I request a device in Buffalo or Albany?

Not at present. We only operate hardware in the New York City metro and we do not badge lines with cities where we have no equipment. For accounts and checks tied to upstate businesses, the state-level match a New York City device provides is what platforms actually evaluate.

Sticky or rotating for real estate, ticketing and social work in New York?

Sticky for anything logged in, which covers portals, ticketing accounts and social profiles; a router is the safest device for those. Rotating for listing and price sampling where you want many independent views. The same device does both; you decide by when you call the rotation link.

Which carriers can I get on New York hardware?

AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, each on a consumer plan. Stock shifts, so name your preferred carrier when ordering and we will confirm availability. One SIM lives in one device rented by one customer, and we do not move SIMs between customers mid-rental.
